Starting My Crafting Journey
I was never really artistic, though I longed to be. When I had kids, I discovered the world of crafting. I spent hours at the library finding books on things we could craft together. We decorated the house year round with endless paper crafts. My journey had begun.
I branched out and tried lots of things for myself:
- crocheting
- sewing
- knitting
- woodburning
- painting
- jewelry making
- wire crafts
- the list goes on
I discovered things I really like, such as crochet, and things I don’t have a knack for like sewing and knitting. I continue to try new things as I journey on. I don’t like to do only one thing.
I am starting this blog as a way to hold myself more accountable for completing crafting tasks. I am overwhelmed at the moment with multiple crafts I have started. I have presents I am working on as well as things my grandchildren have requested.
I also have a couple new ideas that I want to explore. My thinking is that if I commit to posting I will force myself into focusing and getting things done. Here’s hoping I’m right.
I would love to develop a community of like-minded adults to share ideas with. So please, join me on this crafting journey.
